About Clarke School - New York

Located in the heart of Manhattan on the Upper East Side, Clarke School - New York provides services for deaf and hard-of-hearing infants and young children who are deaf and their families. The curricula used in Clarke School - New York's early intervention, preschool and kindergarten programs focuses on all area of development, with a particular emphasis on spoken language skills.

Clarke School - New York is a private, non-profit educational program devoted to teaching deaf and hard-of-hearing children to listen and talk. Our children use cochlear implants, hearing aids and FM systems. The school opened in 1999 in response to the growing need for oral deaf education in New York City and the surrounding area. Clarke School - New York provides early intervention services, integrated and self-contained classes. Mainstreaming, itinerant teacher services and a full array of evaluation services are also provided. Related services, including speech and language therapy, occupational and physical therapies and social work services are also available.
