Technology
At Clarke School all students are taught computer skills. While word processing and editing are central to computer education, students at Clarke School make presentations with PowerPoint, create animated, remote control robots with Lego/LOGO software and design diagrams for reports using Kidspiration. They learn Adobe PhotoShop Elements and Claris Homepage to maintain the website for the student-run store. Clarke students create movies, commercials and documentaries using iMovie2 and make presentations on a Smart Board. The new possibilities in communication and research provided by the Internet have been embraced by students at Clarke School. Under teacher supervision, students use the Internet to work on individual and group projects and maintain their student e-mail account.
