In order to specifically replenish the Clarke Jacksonville Scholarship Fund on an annual
basis to benefit the students, Clarke Jacksonville initiated the Celebration of Sound.
This 8th annual event is a critical element to raise money and awareness for the school.
The happy, confident children you see at Clarke are the result of successful fundraising
projects such as Celebration of Sound, By sponsoring or attending this event, your
support to Clarke will give a voice to children with hearing loss and will continue to
make a difference in the lives of our students and our families.

Support for Clarke Jacksonville is a sound investment in the independent and successful future of deaf children,
Studies show that programs like ours save tax payers a significant amount of money over time. According to the
National Center for Hearing Assessment and Management, by the time a child with hearing loss graduates high
school. more than $400,000 per child can be saved in special education costs if the child is identified early and
given appropriate educational, medical and audiological services. Since 12,000 babies are born deaf in the United
States each year, programs like Clarke Jacksonville have the potential to save tax payers millions of dollars.
