TUITION GRANTS

Thanks to a generous grant from a private foundation, Smith College is able to offer full-tuition scholarships to all applicants who are enrolled in the M.E.D. program.

FEDERALLY INSURED LOANS

Since scholarships are limited to tuition costs, need-based, federally insured loans continue to be available to qualified applicants to assist with living expenses. Repayment of such loans is deferred until after graduation, and repayment may be extended over a period of several years.

FELLOWSHIPS

Limited funds are available in the form of fellowships to reduce the cost of room and board during the academic year. Recipients of fellowships undertake assignments that interfere minimally with studying. Final decisions on assistance are made during the summer sessions.
